    This program aims to ensure a solid foundation in mathematics, addressing any gaps from the primary curriculum and preparing students for more advanced topics in subsequent years.

    The course content for the course includes:

    Term 1: Building a Strong Foundation

    • Number and Arithmetic: Basic operations, place value, fractions, decimals, and percentages.
    • Algebra Basics: Introduction to variables, simplifying expressions, and solving simple equations.
    • Geometry Fundamentals: Properties of 2D shapes, perimeter, area, and basic angles.
    • Data Handling and Statistics: Collecting, organizing, and interpreting data, and basic statistical measures.

    Term 2: Developing Mathematical Skills

    • Number Systems: Factors, multiples, square and cube numbers, and order of operations.
    • Advanced Fractions and Decimals: Problem-solving with fractions and decimals, rounding, and significant figures.
    • Ratios and Proportions: Simplifying ratios and solving proportion problems.
    • Geometry and Measurement: Properties and nets of 3D shapes, volume, surface area, symmetry, and transformations.
    • Probability: Basic probability concepts and calculations.

    Term 3: Integration and Application

    • Advanced Algebra: Complex equations, inequalities, and sequences.
    • Geometry in Depth: Angles in polygons, circle properties, and trigonometry basics.
    • Real-Life Applications: Applying maths concepts to real-world situations and project-based learning.

    Cost: Ā£850 per year, payable in 10 monthly instalments of Ā£85.00.

    Requirements

    • Age Group: This course is designed for students aged 10-12 years.
    • Prerequisites: Number and Arithmetic: Familiarity with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers.Fractions and Decimals: Basic knowledge of fractions and decimals, including simple operations.Measurement: Understanding common units of measure and the ability to calculate the perimeter and area of basic shapes.Geometry: Basic properties of 2D shapes and the ability to measure and draw simple angles.
    • Materials: Maths textbook, workbooks, notebook, calculator, graph paper, grid paper, ruler, compass, protractor, small white board and markers
