Description
I really enjoyed reading this book, it was thought-provoking and is easy to read and understand by young millennials who are approaching the age of marriage. As a coach and therapist, I cannot emphasise how crucial it is for people to be educated on the purpose and beauty of marriage in Islam. I regularly work with people who did not take much of the advice given in this book when they got married and they fell into abusive and turbulent relationships. I’d like to add to Ustadh Rakin’s work the importance of going to therapy before searching for a partner, so that one does not take their previous issues into the marriage; expecting their partner to deal with them. This adds a heavy strain to the marriage that is unable to start strong. I have had the pleasure of collaborating with Ustadh Rakin before, and mashallah he is a great example of a Muslim family man. I hope this book gets distributed in all Islamic bookshops; may Allah place a lot of blessings and rewards in it. Ameen!
