Please join us for the second part in our series about home-educating journeys, where our panel of experienced home-educating mothers will continue the conversation on how home education worked for their families. Chaired by Hind of Stewards One, herself a home-schooling mother of many years.
Our Panel of Mothers:
Zahira Mauthoor is a life coach and counsellor focused on healing family relationships. She’s adept in the martial way with a black belt in Tae Kwan Do, and a blue belt in Kickboxing, while also training in Karate. She has a masters in Managment and is passionate about incorporating Quran and Sunnah into her coaching practice. She has been home educating for 15 years and lives with her husband and children in Qatar.
Makeda Bilqis Knight is a homeschooling mom of 20 years and spiritual development coach. She is the founder of Path to Presence life coaching and host of the Plan Barakah podcast. Bilqis lives in Qatar where she also runs the Himma Circle, a spiritual suhba group for Muslim women.
Katie is a mother of nine, none of whom have been to school. She holds a degree in Biology from Imperial College. The eldest five gained GCSEs with her before starting college at 16. She is still home educating her other children.
