    Description

    In this inspiring and hands-on workshop, led by Ahmad Ikhlas, participants will embark on a creative journey to compose and perform a heartfelt Song of Praise. Over four weeks, students will explore the profound impact of words, melodies, and delivery while grounding their creativity in Islamic principles. By the end of the workshop, each participant will complete a unique Song of Praise and have the opportunity to perform their creation.

    What You’ll Learn:

    Lesson 1: The Power of Words and Setting Intentions
    Discover how words act as keys to unlock emotions and shape the listener’s experience. Learn to write with a clear intention to please Allah and adopt a poetic mindset that draws inspiration from everyday life. By the end of this session, participants will write their first piece based on the theme “words as keys” and begin reflecting on the qualities of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

    Lesson 2: Using Words to Influence Emotions
    Deepen your understanding of emotional resonance in writing. Through exercises and reflections, explore how to craft narratives that evoke powerful feelings like joy and sorrow, guiding your audienceā€™s emotional journey. Participants will also learn to draw inspiration from the sayings of the Prophet (peace be upon him) to enrich their creative output.

    Lesson 3: Developing Catchy Melodies and Choruses
    Learn the essentials of crafting memorable choruses and melodies that linger in the hearts of your listeners. Discover techniques for creating captivating melodic lines, inspired by famous Islamic nasheeds and poetry. Participants will create their own chorus or melody by the end of this session.

    Lesson 4: Voice, Tone, and Delivery
    Bring your words to life with techniques for vocal tone, passion, and performance. Practice blending written work with delivery to engage and move an audience. The final exercise will integrate lessons from all sessions, culminating in a poem or song inspired by the qualities of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
