  • Weekly Assignments (30%): Short essay tasks to apply concepts learned each week.
  • Mid-course Assessment (20%): In-class essay on a selected topic.
  • Peer Reviews (15%): Participation in constructive peer feedback sessions.
  • Final Essay Portfolio (35%): Submission of a portfolio showcasing improvement in various essay types.

    Week 3 & 4: Mastering Descriptive Writing

    • Overview of descriptive writing.
    • Detailed exploration of sensory language.
    • Creating vivid imagery through descriptive writing.

    Week 5 & 6: Narrative Writing Techniques

    • Exploring narrative writing elements.
    • Developing plot and characters.
    • Crafting engaging storylines.

    Week 7: Report Writing Skills

    • Understanding report formats.
    • Distinguishing facts from opinion.

    Week 8: Interview Writing Proficiency

    • Conducting effective interviews
    • Transforming interviews into compelling written pieces
