Arabic Level 1 is a comprehensive one-year course designed for students who are just about to begin their Arabic language journey. The course aims to develop students’ language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing through a communicative approach, emphasising real-life situations and practical applications.
Throughout the course, students will be exposed to a wide range of essential vocabulary, covering topics such as greetings, family, housing, daily routines, food and drink, prayer, hobbies, travel, and health. They will learn to construct simple sentences and engage in basic conversations, gradually progressing to more complex language structures and expressions.
The course will cover fundamental Arabic grammar concepts, including verb conjugations in the present and past tenses, singular and plural forms, masculine and feminine nouns, question formation, and basic sentence structures. Students will also be introduced to the Arabic number system and learn to tell time.
In addition to language skills, the course will enable cultural awareness by exposing students to various aspects of life in Arabic-speaking countries. This will include discussions about customs, traditions, and social etiquette, as well as an introduction to the Islamic calendar and important holidays.
Cost: £750 per year, payable in 10 monthly instalments of £75.00.
