Stewards School Year 7 Maths Club
The Stewards School Year 7 Maths after-school club aims to build a strong foundation in mathematics by revisiting essential concepts from Years 5/6 and addressing common areas of difficulty in the Year 7 curriculum. Through targeted instruction and skill-building activities, students will fill learning gaps, deepen their understanding, and develop confidence in applying maths to both schoolwork and real-world situations.
Stewards School Year 9 Maths Club
The Year 9 Maths Club is designed as an online program tailored for students who need additional support in building essential maths skills. This club provides a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where students can develop maths fluency, confidence, and problem-solving skills. The emphasis is on real-world application, enabling students to see the relevance of mathematics in everyday life. Through interactive games, peer collaboration, and personalised instruction, the club helps students improve their understanding of core concepts while making maths an enjoyable subject.
Character Building Bundle Level 1 (11-14yrs)
Character Building consists of four subjects: Aqida, Seerah, Fiqh and Life Coaching. Mastering Primary Mathematics with Montessori ( Years 5 &6)
This comprehensive scheme of work is tailored for a combined class of students in Years 5 and 6 (UK) or Grades 4 and 5 (US), aligning with both the UK National Curriculum and US Common Core Standards. It is designed to address learning gaps and ensure students are well-prepared for middle school or secondary school. The curriculum is structured over 36 weeks, divided into three terms. Each term builds on the previous one, with clear learning objectives, prerequisites, and detailed weekly plans.

KS3 Geography
This course is a fascinating course, which covers a wide range of Geographic subjects, from weather to mapping, and covering both physical geography and human geography. Through the KS3 Geography syllabus, learners will develop a ‘sense of place’ by looking at the world around them on a local, regional and global scale.
Stewards School Writing Club: Essay Writing For Beginners
This course is designed to take students age 9 – 12 years on a journey through the essentials of essay writing. Each week, they’ll explore a different aspect of essay writing, from brainstorming and planning to drafting, revising, and polishing their essays. The course is packed with fun activities that will help students build on their knowledge with hands-on activities, interactive lessons, and practical exercises.
IGCSE YR1 Arabic
IGCSE YR1 is a comprehensive, one-year course designed for students who have successfully completed Key Stage 3 Arabic Level 1 and are keen to continue developing their Arabic language skills. Building upon the foundational knowledge and skills acquired in Level 1, this course aims to further advance students’ proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing through an engaging, communicative approach that emphasises practical application and cultural understanding.

Arabic Level 1 is a comprehensive one-year course tailored for KS3 students, providing a solid foundation to prepare them for the IGCSE Arabic curriculum. This course aims to develop students’ basic language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing through a communicative approach, emphasising real-life situations and practical applications.
KS3 Sewing and Textiles Club
This 24-week program is tailored to meet Key Stage 3 standards, offering students aged 11-14 a comprehensive introduction to hand sewing and textiles. The curriculum focuses on developing foundational sewing skills, exploring various decorative techniques, and fostering creativity. Participants will maintain sketchbooks to document their creative processes, research textile traditions, and plan their projects.
Stewards School Science Club
The Science Club aims to engage students aged 12-15 in hands-on scientific investigations, fostering critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and effective communication. Throughout the 30-week program, students will explore various scientific disciplines aligned with the KS3 curriculum and will work towards completing their CREST Bronze Award. The club will emphasize inquiry-based learning, collaborative projects, and the scientific method, enabling students to formulate measurable research questions and conduct experiments.

This course is designed to develop students’ creative writing skills, enhance their ability to write clearly and effectively, and prepare them for GCSE and IGCSE English Language exams. Year 9 (IGCSE-Bridge) Islamic Art
The Stewards Islamic Art curriculum explores calligraphy, geometry, and ornamentation design (biomorphic or arabesque) through a thematic rather than chronological approach. It provides a broad overview of Islamic art by examining traditions from West Africa, the Maghreb, the Mughal Empire, and the Persian and Ottoman Empires.

This Year 9 Bridge English programme is designed to address learning gaps and build a solid foundation for students preparing for the Edexcel Pearson IGCSE. Year 7 Mathematics

Character Building – Life Coaching for Boys (10 – 12 yrs)
This course is designed to empower young boys to develop good character through guided discussions, practical exercises, and role modeling. Participants will explore personal values, responsibilities, and community engagement, all within the framework of Islamic teachings. Year 7 Design & Technology
Designed for Year 7-8 students, this 38-week programme aims to provide students with a comprehensive introduction to the exciting and innovative world of design technology. Students will learn about the role of design in everyday life as well as an overview of design principles and process. Each lesson has been designed to be engaging, thought provoking and practical in order to uncover and develop the students’ creativity, problem-solving skills, and technical proficiency.
Cursive Writing in 6 Weeks
Cursive Writing in 6 Weeks is an intensive 6 weeks course to reintroduce cursive handwriting to children and adults. This course is aimed at anyone who has tried out cursive before but has not built up fluency and legibility. The objective is to build up legible penmanship skills and incorporate this new skill in daily work such as homework, note taking, journaling. This course can also lead to deeper study of calligraphy. It can also serve as an introduction to the Bronze Award for young people.
Stewards Year 7
Our Key Stage 3 Year 7 program for students aged 11 to 12 combines academic rigor with personal and spiritual growth. Each day begins with morning dhikr to encourage mindfulness and God consciousness. Core subjects like KS3 English Language, Mathematics, and Science build strong foundational skills, while unique courses such as Religion & Scientism and Islamic Art Level 1 promote critical thinking and creativity. The innovative DeVice course helps students manage their digital device usage effectively.
Stewards Year 9 (IGCSE-Bridge)
This program focuses on strengthening foundational knowledge in key subjects and enhancing study skills. It’s specifically designed to close any educational gaps and fully prepare students for the challenges of IGCSE qualification. If your child is approaching IGCSE YR1, the IGCSE-Bridge Program will equip them with the confidence and skills needed for success.
Year 7 Science
The Year 7 Science curriculum offers a comprehensive introduction to fundamental scientific concepts and practical skills across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Throughout the year, students explore topics such as cell biology, ecosystems, chemical reactions, and forces, while developing their scientific inquiry and data analysis abilities. Year 7 Islamic Art
Using traditional tools of a compass and straightedge, students will recreate and learn about beautiful patterns from the Islamic World. Starting with simple patterns and gradually building up in complexity, students will focus on patterns and the calligraphy language of West and North Africa.
Year 9 (IGCSE-Bridge) Mathematics
This program aims to cover foundational mathematics comprehensively, address any learning gaps, and prepare students for the IGCSE curriculum by progressively building their skills and understanding.
Year 7 Character Building – Theology Level 1
Character Building course is designed to help students learn about and build character in Islam. It is divided into 4 segments: Theology, Jurisprudence, Prophetic Biography and Life Coaching. This Theology component is designed to give pre-adolescent and adolescent Muslims the foundational tools they need to strengthen and defend their faith from doubts.

Our Instructors
Zakariya Wright received his PhD in African History from Northwestern University, his MA in Arabic Studies/Middle East History from the American University in Cairo, and his BA in History from Stanford University. He has published a number of books related to the Tijaniyya Sufi order, as well as the history of Islam in Africa more generally. Wright became Muslim in 1997 in Medina-Baye, Senegal, and spent many years studying the traditional Islamic sciences with Shaykh Hasan Cisse and Shaykh Tijani Cisse along his academic research.

Rakin Fetuga is the CEO of Crescent Moon Media record label. He runs workshops to support youth, teaches Religious Studies at Oasis Academy Hadley. He also teaches Islamic studies at the weekends, and is also a life coach. Rakin’s latest initiative is to bring awareness to the epidemic of youth violence in the inner cities. He formed an organisation called ‘Save Our Boys’ which holds events in the community and in schools. He is also part of the Rumi’s Cave team working as a teacher, events host, speaker and Imam for Friday congregational prayers and Ramadan taraweer prayers.

Calligrapher and Artist with a focus on West African calligraphy, art and craft. Graduated from The Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts with a Masters in Arts with a distinction. Studies with master Arabic calligraphers from the UAE, China and England in Riqa’a, Thuluth and Sudani scripts. Also studied classical Latin scripts Copperplate, Italic and Uncial scripts. Lives in Reading,UK, married with 3 children.
